I'm Steve!
I really love music and have found the best way I can contribute is by fixing stuff that plays and makes music.
Growing up my Grandpa Les ran a record business out of his house. He had a 25' floor to ceiling wall with an unfathomable amount of alphabetized records and if you ordered from M&L Records in the 90's or 00's I'm his kin.The room on the other side of what we eloquently dubbed "The Record Room" was loaded with Arcade and Pinball machines. Some of my earliest memories are listening to whatever Grandpa had on the Jukebox while I pulled open the door to Ms. Pacman to load myself an ample amount of free credits.I often found myself enamored with the mess of wires and lights but I was only allowed to press the big red free credit button. I'd spend hours thinking how I might be able to exploit such a feature at other arcades on machines I couldn't afford to get good at (as if I didn't have it good enough already).Circuit boards had me then but In 7th Grade, my friend Carl gave me a soldering Iron cause we were those kind of kids and that was that.At 13 I got my first guitar and heard Ritchie Blackmore got his distortion from reworking an old tape player. Many tape players died that summer.It's been 20 years and I'm still goofing off with guitar gear, arcade machines and records.M&L Records is closed, but Grandpa is doing great, Thanks for asking.
